The routes are carefully designed to meet the wishes of both the hard-nose climber and the romantic nature-lover. We have a strong, experienced team of guides who will lead your way and make sure nobody are left behind... or out in front! The daily rides will be performed with a strong emphasis on safety.

Joachim Jerichow: Founder of Bike Italien. Danish, 39 years old. Lives in Lazise by the Garda Lake. Former pro basketball player in Italy. Played ball in Michigan and Hawaii at university level. Have participated in the following races: Nove Colli, Cesenatico. (MTB) Granfondo Paola Pezzo, Garda. Granfondo Bardolino, Granfondo Colnago, Piacenza. Rides with LaciClub, Lazise. Passion for cycling, trekking and adventure-sports: Rafting, canyoning and via ferrata.
Maurizio Fondriest: 41 years old. World Champion in 1988 (age 23). Twice winner of the European-cup (1991 and 1993). His impressive career counts 40 victories in international races and stages (for more detail, see the menu on your left). Maurizio is a busy man. Apart from having a store in his hometown Cles, Val di Non and commentating races on television, he promotes the line of high-quality carbon-fiber frames, which carries his name. In 2008 he will be organizing a project in which the last 20 years' world champions will do kind of a pilgrimage from Cles to Rome where they will meet the Pope in person! Hobbies: MTB, alpinismo and winter bathing.
Paul Lebonitte: 54 years old. Lives in New York. 12 years experience on the road. Licensed cycling coach (2. level, USA Cycling). Previous experience as a guide in France to Alpe d'Huez and Col du Galibier and in Italy: The Dolomites - raw and sweet 2007.
Bjarke Andersen: 56 years old. From Ikast, Denmark. Licensed in Herning. Sports past: Swimming and Triathlon. Has not only completed the legendary six-day-race: Trans Alp (785 km, 18810 hm) but also: Coast to Coast (800 km, 16500 hm), Tour des Grande Alpes, France (766 km, 16500 hm), 2x Giro delle Dolomiti (765 km, 15000 hm). The Dolomites - raw and sweet (764 km, 14641 hm). Races: Marmotten, Fausto Coppi, Claude Criquelion, Granfondo Colnago.
Liselotte Færk: 56 years old. 10 years cycling experience. Trans Alp, Tour des Grande Alpes (France), 2x Giro delle Dolomiti. Races: Marmotten (France), Fausto Coppi (Italy).
Roberto Daz: 42 years old. Italian. Lives by the legendary Passo delle Mendola. Educated as alpine-guide, skiing instructor, climbing instructor, helicopter-rescue (Trentino). One the best climbers in Italy. Has just concluded an expedition assisting a one-legged climber to the the peak of Huascara (the highest mountain in Peru, 6.800 meters). Have won the alpinismo/skiing race "Sella-Ronda" (alpinismo: walking up, riding down four mountains (the four passes)... in the middle of the night!) Hobbies: Cycling, MTB and winter bathing (every day all year long).
Jonas Jørgensen: 20 years old. Team Python Pro, Denmark. A-group in Denmark from this season. One of the coming names. Jonas, will join the arrangements of Bike Italien and help out when it will fit into his busy racing schedule.
Marco Battisti: 37 years old. Triathlete from 1998-2003. Organizer of the Italian triathlon-championship. Organizer of numerous tournaments and training camps (basketball). 10 years experience with Nordic track at the highest level. Marco will primarily function as our driver of the follow-car but will not exclude that he'll join the pack once in a while.
