Reactions to: The Dolomites - Rough and Sweet (2007)

"One of the most memorable times of my life!" Bill Andersen, New York

"Magnificent and breath taking views of the peaks and descents and at times hellish climbs across the Dolomite passes that we endured!... Great trip in general with challenging Cat. 1 and 2 climbs and beautiful scenery with fabulous, almost endless descents. Well organized and attention to those who needed individual care and needs." Paul Lebonitte, New York

"Absolutely and truly fantastic... your trip really gave me a kick... the vacation exceeded all my expectations!" Søren Pedersen, Denmark

"I was very satisfied with the course of events during the week. All included, a great experience!" Bjarke Andersen, Denmark

The biking week "The Dolomites - Rough and Sweet" - was nothing less than a success! Led by the former World Champion Maurizio Fondriest, the eleven American and three Danish participants rode more than 675 km with 11.500 altitude meters among the most fascinating Dolomites! We finished the cycling week with Granfondo Colnago in the Apennine Range, which proved to be a tough race in an incredible beautiful and hilly landscape.

We also tasted wine in a family owned wine cellar in Valpolicella and had an extraordinary experience in the 2000 year old and world renowned Arena listening to Verdi's opera Nabucco in Romeo and Juliet's city of Verona. Watch the photos in the Photo Gallery, check out the altitude curves of the stages and read the diaries here.

Bike Italien also arranges family vacations on bike and weeks for mountain bike but the homepage has not been updated and translated yet. For more information contact Bike Italien.
